Uganda’s energy sector has reached another milestone. On August 1, 2025, the Nyagak III Hydropower Station was commissioned in Paidha, Zombo District, officially adding 6.6 MW of renewable energy to Uganda’s grid.
This achievement is more than electricity generation it’s a game-changer for West Nile, promising improved livelihoods, business growth, and regional development.
Why Nyagak III Matters
The power station is expected to generate 36.3 GWh annually, offering much-needed stability to Uganda’s power supply.
